We’ve got seventeen apple varieties in the store this weekend, many of which you will only see in our store! Big growers and retailers tend to prefer apples that are large in size that keep and travel well. We like to grow apples we think taste interesting. We grow everything right here in Carp. Apples, squash, pumpkins, garlic, plums, pears and potatoes.
Randy will be at the Carp Farmers’ Market for the final market until December’s Christmas Market.
We’ve got pumpkins in the greenhouse and on the porch if you still want to decorate for Halloween.
We finally finished picking all the pumpkins and squash and we’re getting ready to celebrate Heritage Apple days next weekend!
In the store starting on Friday, October 28 and through the weekend we’ll have some of our more unusual Heritage Apples for sale in small quantities or in our sampler boxes. Macoun, Seek no Further, Liberty, Bancroft, Pumpkin Sweet, Wolf River, and Snow will be on the shelves while supplies last.
We still have lots of Honey Crisp, Macs, Cortland and other apples too. Pies, crisps, cider and gifts are in the store.
We’ve got the hot Apple Cider on and lots of pumpkins and squash are on the porch and in the greenhouse.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We’re open the holiday Monday from 9:30 to 4:00 in addition to our regular hours on the weekend. Randy will be at the market in Carp 8:00 to 1:00 Saturday mornings until October 29th!
We’ve got lots of apples picked and in the cold storage as you can see in the picture above. This week we’ve washed tons of squash and pumpkins. We’ve got cider in the cooler and lots of pies in the freezer while they last.
Enjoy your weekend!
